Eating Disorders
Eating disorders affect a large segment of the population.
The most common eating disorders are:
- Anorexia people suffering from this disorder usually starve themselves because in their eyes they believe they are overweight.
- Bulimia sufferers eat and throw up after meals, eventually becoming more obsessive and going on binge and throw up cycles.
- Binge Eating sufferers have a compulsion to eat excessively and then followed by guilt episodes where dieting offers temporary relief, only o return to the cycle again and again.
People suffering with any of the above eating disorders share feelings of loneliness, anxiety and or depression. Therapy is the most commonly used treatment form.
